Levante vs Sevilla Preview

Levante vs Sevilla

Competition – La Liga

Stadium: Estadi Ciutat de València

Date: 12th October 2026

Kick-off time – 20:00 GMT

Estadi Ciutat de València produced Levante’s most eye-catching result of the season so far, a 5-2 win over Real Betis at the end of August, and they will need something similar on Monday night against a Sevilla side sitting fifth in La Liga. Levante have not won in three games since, and they sit 17th on five points, ahead of the bottom three only on goal difference. They do have a game in hand on most of the division, having played six league games to the seven of every side except Athletic Club. Sevilla arrive on 13 points but on the back of two straight defeats, including a 3-1 loss at home to Barcelona in their last league outing. The visitors have scored exactly once in each of their last five matches, while Levante have won the last two meetings between the sides without conceding a goal. A Sevilla win would lift them level on 16 points with Atlético Madrid and Real Betis, while Levante have conceded seven goals in their last two games alone. Kick-off in Valencia is at 20:00 GMT.

Levante have one win, two draws and two defeats from their last five, and the two most recent results were both defeats. The latest was a 3-1 loss away to Villarreal on 20 September, and a week earlier they were beaten 4-2 at home by Barcelona, the only side to score more than three against them in the run. A goalless draw away at Malaga came on 6 September, and the 5-2 home win over Betis a week before that remains their only league victory of the season. The oldest result in the sample is another 0-0, away at Osasuna. That leaves eight goals scored and nine conceded across the five, with both clean sheets coming in those goalless away draws. At home, Levante scored seven times in two games but conceded six, and they have shipped at least three in each of their last two outings.

Sevilla have two wins, a draw and two defeats from their last five, and they have scored exactly once in every one of those games. The most recent was a 3-1 home defeat to Aston Villa in a club friendly on 2 October, and their last league outing ended in a 3-1 home loss to Barcelona on 19 September. Three days earlier they won 1-0 away at Dep. A Coruna, and on 11 September they beat Valencia by the same scoreline at home. The oldest result is a 1-1 draw away at Espanyol. Across the five, Sevilla scored five and conceded seven, with six of those goals against coming in the two most recent defeats. Both of their wins came with clean sheets. Three of the five were played at home, where Sevilla won one and lost two, while they are unbeaten away from home in the run.

Sevilla have won three of the last five meetings to Levante’s two, with no draws, but the hosts have taken the last two. The most recent was a 2-0 Levante win at the Estadi Ciutat de València in April 2026, and three months before that Levante won 3-0 away at Sevilla. Sevilla’s three wins in the sample came in successive meetings between April 2021 and April 2022, including a 5-3 home win in October 2021 and two victories at Levante, 3-2 and 1-0. The aggregate across the run is 10-9 in Levante’s favour, despite Sevilla winning more of the games. Every meeting produced a winner, and three of the five saw at least three goals.

Sevilla are fifth on 13 points, while Levante sit 17th on five, ahead of Elche only on goal difference. A Levante win would take them to eight points, level with Villarreal, Athletic Club, Getafe, Rayo Vallecano and Osasuna.
