Sunday evening at the MEWA ARENA in Mainz sees Germany round off their pre-World Cup preparation schedule with a home friendly against Finland. With the tournament on the horizon, this is the last opportunity for the German squad to fine-tune their approach and give the coaching staff a final look at fringe candidates before the squad is finalised. Finland, who have had a difficult qualifying campaign of their own, arrive as opponents who will be eager to test themselves against one of the tournament favourites on home soil.

Germany head into this game in the form of a side that is ready and building. Their most recent outing was a 2-1 home win over Ghana in March — a solid result against lively African opposition that kept the momentum going. Prior to that, a stunning 4-3 away win in Switzerland, a performance that underlined their attacking quality and ability to score goals freely. Before that, a dominant 6-0 home win over Slovakia in World Cup qualifying. Earlier in this run, a 2-0 away win in Luxembourg. The sequence opened with a 1-0 away win in Northern Ireland. Five wins from five, across qualifying and friendly football, with a goal difference that reflects a side scoring freely at both ends of the calendar. Germany arrive at the World Cup with confidence running through the entire squad.

Finland’s form has been considerably more patchy. Their most recent outing was a 1-1 draw away at Cape Verde in March — a result that reflects the kind of inconsistency that has defined their recent international calendar. Prior to that, a 2-0 away win over New Zealand. Before that, a 4-0 home win over Andorra. Earlier in this run, a 1-0 home defeat to Malta in World Cup qualifying — one of the more damaging results of their campaign. The sequence opened with a heavy 4-0 away defeat to the Netherlands. Two wins from five, with losses against Malta and the Netherlands and a draw against Cape Verde, tells the story of a squad that remains limited in its ceiling against stronger opposition.

The gap in quality between these two nations is significant and the statistics bear that out. Germany have been prolific and defensively sound across their recent fixtures. Finland have been capable of beating lesser opposition but have struggled every time the level steps up, and a trip to face the Germans in Mainz on Sunday evening represents exactly the kind of test that has exposed their limitations throughout this qualifying cycle.

The head-to-head record between these sides is slim — only three meetings in the historical record — and it favours Germany, who have won one of the three encounters with two draws and no wins for Finland. Most recently, Germany won 2-0 at home in August 2016. The previous encounter was a 1-1 draw when Germany hosted in October 2009.

In Germany, the match is live on ZDF. In Finland, viewers can follow on YLE TV2 and V Sport Premium. The game is also available in the United States on Fox Sports 2 and fuboTV, and in Sweden on Viaplay Sweden.

Saturday afternoon in Budapest delivers the defining European club fixture of the season. Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal meet at the Puskás Aréna in the Champions League Final — a showpiece occasion that brings together the Premier League champions and the dominant force in French football, in what is one of the most eagerly anticipated finals in years. For Arsenal, it represents the culmination of what has been an extraordinary domestic and European season. For PSG, it is another opportunity to add the one trophy that has consistently eluded them.

Arsenal arrive in Hungary in the form of champions. Their most recent outing was a 2-1 win away at Crystal Palace on the final day of the Premier League season. Prior to that, a 1-0 home win over Burnley. Before that, a 1-0 away win at West Ham. Earlier in this run, a 1-0 home win over Atlético Madrid in the Champions League knockout stages secured their place in this final. The sequence opened with a 3-0 home win over Fulham. Five wins from five — all of them clean sheet victories, all of them achieved with composure and control — reflects a side that has hit a level of consistency that few clubs manage across an entire campaign. Arsenal have conceded just six goals across their Champions League run, and a defence that has proven almost impenetrable at this stage of the season is the foundation on which this final challenge is built.

PSG’s form heading into the final has been less clinical. Their most recent outing was a 2-1 defeat away at Paris FC in Ligue 1 — an unexpected setback that will have raised questions in the days since. Prior to that, a 2-0 away win at Lens. Before that, a 1-0 home win over Brest. Earlier in this run, a 1-1 draw away at Bayern Munich in the Champions League semifinal second leg — a result that was enough to send them through on aggregate and underlined their ability to hold their nerve in the highest-stakes moments. The sequence opened with a 2-2 home draw against Lorient. Two wins, two draws and a defeat from five is a mixed return, but the quality in PSG’s squad — and their experience in knockout football — makes them formidable regardless of their most recent domestic result.

The statistics from the Champions League campaigns reflect the contrasting styles. PSG have scored 44 goals in the competition and conceded 22 — a goal difference of +22. Arsenal have scored 29 and conceded just 6 — a goal difference of +23. Both sides have dominated their routes to the final, but Arsenal’s defensive record is remarkable. PSG’s firepower is the tournament’s most consistent attacking force. Something has to give on Saturday.

The head-to-head record is perfectly balanced — two wins each and one draw across the last five meetings, all of which have come in the Champions League. Most recently, PSG won 2-1 at home in May 2025. In the previous encounter, PSG won 1-0 away at Arsenal in April 2025 — a result that confirmed PSG’s progression in that season’s knockout stages.

In the United Kingdom and Ireland, the match is live on TNT Sports 1 and available to stream via HBO Max. In the United States, viewers can watch on CBS and Paramount+. In France, the final is live on Canal+ France and M6, and in Germany on ZDF and DAZN.

Injuries

Paris Saint-Germain: Chevalier (Out), Ndjantou (Out)

Arsenal: White (Out), Timber (Doubtful)

Both sides carry injury concerns that could influence the starting lineup. PSG lose Chevalier in goal and Ndjantou from their attacking options — the goalkeeper absence is significant if it affects their first-choice selection between the sticks. Arsenal lose White at right-back for the season, with Timber carrying a muscle concern that adds uncertainty to their backline. The two sides are broadly evenly matched in terms of disruption to their ideal XI.

Friday afternoon at the Orlando Stadium sees South Africa host Nicaragua in a pre-summer international friendly as South Africa look to build momentum ahead of the World Cup. Bafana Bafana welcome Central American opposition in what shapes up as a workmanlike occasion — neither side arrives carrying outstanding form, and both will be eager to use this fixture to sharpen their preparations rather than simply complete the calendar.

South Africa head into this game in unconvincing domestic form. Their most recent outing was a 1-2 home defeat to Panama in a friendly at the end of March. Prior to that, a 1-1 home draw against Panama in the first of the two-match series. Before that, a 1-2 home defeat to Cameroon in the Africa Cup of Nations group stage. Earlier in this run, a 3-2 away win over Zimbabwe in the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 was their standout result — a hard-fought victory that showed their capacity to deliver in elimination football. The sequence opened with a 1-0 away defeat to Egypt in the group stage. One win from five, with three defeats at home across the run, points to a side that has struggled for consistency on their own patch and will be seeking a response on Friday evening.

Nicaragua arrive in Johannesburg with equally modest recent form. Their most recent outing was a 3-1 defeat away at Russia in March. Prior to that, a 2-0 away defeat to Haiti in World Cup qualifying. Before that, a 2-0 home win over Honduras in the same competition — their sole positive result across this entire run. Earlier in this run, a 4-1 away defeat to Costa Rica. The sequence opened with a 3-0 home loss to Haiti in October 2025. One win from five, with four defeats and a goal difference that underlines the gap between Nicaragua and most of their opponents, reflects a squad that continues to develop but has a significant distance to travel before competing at the highest levels.

On paper, South Africa hold a clear advantage — experience in continental competition, superior squad depth, and the benefit of home support in Orlando. The Africa Cup of Nations participation, even in a group stage that produced mixed results, represents a level of competitive football that Nicaragua has not accessed. Bafana Bafana will be expected to control the tempo and create enough chances to win comfortably, but the challenge is to perform with intensity and purpose rather than simply go through the motions.

There is no head-to-head history between these two sides. Friday’s fixture is the first time South Africa and Nicaragua have ever met, which means there is no historical context to reference and everything rests on current form and quality across the pitch.

South Africa carry one notable concern with Aubrey Modiba rated as doubtful through a muscle injury. Nicaragua report no injury concerns. The doubtful status of Modiba adds a minor selection question for the hosts, but the overall depth available to South Africa means the impact is limited.

Injuries

South Africa: Modiba (Doubtful)

Nicaragua: No injuries reported.

South Africa carry one concern with Modiba doubtful through a muscle issue, but the depth available across the squad means his potential absence does not significantly weaken the starting setup. Nicaragua arrive with a clean bill of health.

Thursday evening at the Aviva Stadium offers the Republic of Ireland a final home outing before the summer as they prepare for next year after missing out on the World Cup. Qatar are the visitors for what shapes up as an entertaining pre-tournament workout, with Ireland carrying genuine momentum from their World Cup qualifying campaign and Qatar arriving as a side with less to prove on the international stage but still keen to test themselves against European opposition.

Ireland’s recent form makes for encouraging reading. Their most recent outing was a dominant 5-0 home win over Grenada in May — a confidence-boosting performance that underlined the attacking quality available. Prior to that, a 0-0 home draw against North Macedonia in a March friendly reflected a more cautious, controlled afternoon. Before that, a 2-2 draw away at Czechia in World Cup qualifying — a result that cost Ireland on penalties and ended their qualification hopes through that route. Earlier in this run, a superb 3-2 away win in Hungary. The sequence opened with a 2-0 home win over Portugal in November 2025, one of the most significant results in recent Irish football. Three wins from five, with competitive performances at the highest level, reflects a group that has grown considerably over the past two years and arrives at this fixture in strong shape.

Qatar’s form has been inconsistent. Their most recent outing was a 1-2 home defeat to Zimbabwe in a November friendly — a result that reflected poorly on a side expected to perform against lower-ranked opposition. Prior to that, a 2-1 home win over the United Arab Emirates in Asian qualifying. Before that, a 0-0 draw away at Oman in the same competition. Earlier in this run, a heavy 4-1 home defeat to Russia. The sequence opened with a 2-2 home draw against Bahrain. One win from five, with two losses and two draws, does not make for a compelling record, and coming to Dublin on Thursday represents a significant step up in quality.

The head-to-head record favours Ireland on results, though only two meetings exist between the sides. Ireland won 4-0 at home when the two sides met in October 2021. The previous encounter saw the sides draw 1-1 when Qatar hosted in March 2021.

The Aviva Stadium crowd will provide a wall of noise behind a side that has found a coherent identity and a settled squad structure. For Qatar, this is about gaining experience against a well-organised European nation ahead of their own summer commitments. Ireland will look to control the game from the outset and build on the fluency shown in the Grenada performance.

In Ireland, the match is live on RTE 2 and available to stream via the RTE Player. In the United States, viewers can watch on Fox Sports 2 and fuboTV. The game is also available in Germany on DAZN Germany, and in Norway on TV 2 Play.

Thursday evening’s international friendly at the New Administrative Capital Stadium sees Egypt host Russia in a fixture that carries the weight of summer preparation for both nations. With the World Cup approaching, friendlies at this stage of the calendar carry more significance than usual — squad depth is being tested, tactical ideas are being refined, and players are making their case for inclusion. For both sets of supporters, the quality and intensity of this encounter will offer clues about where each team currently stands.

Egypt head into this game off the back of an unconvincing end to the Africa Cup of Nations and a mixed March window. Their most recent outing was a goalless draw away at Spain in a high-quality friendly that showed their defensive resilience but limited attacking threat against top opposition. Prior to that, an excellent 4-0 away win over Saudi Arabia demonstrated a more clinical edge. Before that, a 0-0 home defeat — on penalties — to Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations knockout ended their tournament hopes. Earlier in this run, a 1-0 defeat away at Senegal in the group stage represented a setback. The sequence opened with a 3-2 home win over Ivory Coast in their opening Africa Cup of Nations group match. Two wins from five, with their best performance coming in Riyadh, points to a squad with genuine quality but inconsistency in the big moments.

Russia arrive at the New Administrative Capital with an extended run of friendly action behind them. Their most recent outing was a 0-0 home draw against Mali. Prior to that, a comfortable 3-1 home win over Nicaragua. Before that, a 2-0 home defeat against Chile in November was a sobering result. Earlier in this run, a 1-1 home draw with Peru. The sequence opened with a 3-0 home win over Bolivia in October 2025. Two wins and two draws from five, with their opposition drawn largely from outside the top tier of international football, means their level against a stronger African nation on Thursday will be a genuine test.

The head-to-head record between these two sides is limited. Their only known meeting saw Russia win 3-1 when Egypt were the away side at the 2018 World Cup group stage. That result remains the sole point of reference between the two nations, and with nearly eight years separating this fixture from that one, the historical data offers little meaningful guidance.

Egypt will draw on home support and the familiarity of playing in front of their own fans — an atmosphere that has historically made the New Administrative Capital Stadium a difficult venue for visiting nations. Russia will need to be organised and purposeful from the outset if they are to cause problems for a well-drilled Egyptian defensive unit.

In Egypt, the match is live on ON Sport 1. In Russia, viewers can follow on Match Premier and matchtv.ru. Fans in the United Arab Emirates can watch on Sharjah Sports, and in the United States the game is available on fuboTV and FOX Deportes.

Injuries

Egypt: Soliman (Out), Abdelmonem (Out)

Russia: Komlichenko (Out), Golovin (Out), Borisko (Out), Glebov (Out)

Russia carry the more significant injury concerns ahead of this fixture. Losing Golovin — one of their most creative and experienced players — is a notable blow in the attacking midfield zone, and with three further absentees including Komlichenko up front and Borisko in defence, the depth of their available squad will be tested. Egypt lose two players to muscle injuries but the impact is comparatively manageable.

Wednesday night at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig, Germany brings the Conference League Final — and with it, one of the most compelling European showpieces in recent memory. Crystal Palace face Rayo Vallecano in a fixture that neither club’s supporters could have scripted at the start of the season. Both have navigated every obstacle the competition placed in front of them to reach this stage, and for 90 minutes in Germany, a piece of European silverware is the prize.

Palace arrive at this final carrying some domestic turbulence. Their most recent outing ended in a 1-2 home defeat to Arsenal on the final day of the Premier League season. Prior to that, a 2-2 draw away at Brentford. Before that, a 3-0 away defeat at Manchester City. Earlier in this run, another home draw, 2-2 against Everton. The sequence in their Conference League campaign, however, tells a very different story — a goal difference of +13 across the competition reflects a side that has been consistently clinical when European football has demanded it. The 2-1 home win over Shakhtar Donetsk that sealed their place in this final was a composed, controlled performance from a squad that has clearly reserved something special for these occasions.

Rayo Vallecano arrive at the Red Bull Arena in the form of their season. Their most recent outing was a 2-1 away win at Alavés in La Liga on May 23, a result that sent them into the final on a high. Prior to that, a 2-0 home win over Villarreal. Before that, a 1-1 draw away at Valencia. Earlier in this run, a 1-1 home draw with Girona. The sequence opened with a 1-0 away win at Strasbourg in the Conference League semifinal — a disciplined, mature away performance that demonstrated exactly what has made this Rayo side so dangerous throughout the competition. Three wins from five with no defeats, all while balancing La Liga commitments, reflects a squad in excellent shape.

The numbers from across the Conference League campaign are closely matched. Palace have scored 25 goals and conceded 12 — a goal difference of +13. Rayo have scored 22 and conceded 12 — a goal difference of +10. Both defences have been similarly tested; Palace’s superior attacking output across the competition gives them the slimmer of statistical edges, but on a night like this, margins are irrelevant.

There is no head-to-head history between these clubs — this final is the first time they have ever met, which strips out any form advantage from past encounters and makes form, fitness and the quality of individual performances on the night the only factors that matter.

Palace will be without Richards, Doucouré and Nketiah through injury, while Sosa is rated as doubtful. The loss of Nketiah as an attacking option and Doucouré in midfield is notable, but the lineup selected reflects a core group that has carried the Club through the campaign. Rayo lose Luiz Felipe and Akhomach to season-ending injuries, but neither has featured significantly in the recent run. Both clubs go into this final with their best available squads largely intact.

In the United Kingdom and Ireland, the match is live on TNT Sports 1 and available to stream via HBO Max. In the United States, the game is available on CBS Sports Network and Paramount+. In Spain, viewers can follow on Movistar+, and in France the final is live on Canal+ Foot.

Lineups & Injuries

Crystal Palace (3-4-2-1) Henderson, Clyne, Lerma, Muñoz, Kamada, Devenny, Hughes, Sarr, Riad, Cardines, Strand Larsen

Crystal Palace: Richards (Out), Doucouré (Out), Nketiah (Out), Sosa (Doubtful)

Rayo Vallecano (4-2-3-1) Cárdenas, Espino, Valentín, Mumin, Balliu, Garcia, Gumbau, Martín, Díaz, Mendy, Nteka

Rayo Vallecano: Luiz Felipe (Out), Akhomach (Out)

Palace carry the heavier injury burden heading into this final. The absence of Nketiah removes a reliable attacking outlet, while the loss of Doucouré reduces midfield options from the bench. Rayo’s two absentees have been out for the tail end of the season and their squad depth across the attacking positions — as shown by the length of their bench — means the impact is more limited.

Tuesday evening’s international friendly brings the Super Eagles and the Warriors together at The Valley in south-east London, offering both sides a competitive workout as the international calendar draws towards its summer conclusion. Nigeria arrive as the more established of the two nations at continental and global level, but this fixture — a neutral venue encounter in England — provides Zimbabwe with an opportunity to measure themselves against considerably stronger opposition without the pressures of a competitive context.

Nigeria’s recent form has been solid without being entirely convincing. Their most recent outing ended in a 2-2 draw away against Jordan in a friendly in March. Prior to that, a 2-1 away win over Iran in friendly action. Before that, Nigeria defeated Egypt in their Africa Cup of Nations meeting — a result that underlined their capacity to deal with quality opposition. Earlier in this run, a home defeat to Morocco on penalties in the Africa Cup of Nations, a result that represented their only setback across this period. The sequence opened with a 2-0 away win over Algeria at the same tournament. Three wins from five, with quality scalps along the way, reflects a group carrying genuine international pedigree.

Zimbabwe have been inconsistent across their recent outings. Their most recent outing was a 1-0 home win over Zambia in a friendly at the end of March. Prior to that, a 2-3 home defeat to South Africa in Africa Cup of Nations group stage action. Before that, a 1-1 draw away at Angola in the same tournament. Earlier in this run, a 2-1 away defeat to Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations. The sequence opened with an encouraging 2-1 away win in Qatar in a friendly in November. Two wins from five, with competitive losses against strong African sides, gives an accurate picture of a squad with ability but inconsistency in key moments.

The head-to-head record between these two sides produces a notable pattern — all three of their previous meetings have ended level. Nigeria and Zimbabwe drew 1-1 when Nigeria hosted in March 2025 in World Cup qualifying. The previous encounter was also 1-1, in Zimbabwe in November 2023 in the same competition. Before that, the sides played out a 0-0 when Nigeria hosted in June 2019. The record favours neither side on wins, and the pattern of tight, low-scoring encounters is a consistent theme across their history.

Nigeria will be expected to carry the greater threat in attack — their squad depth, European-based talent and Africa Cup of Nations experience sets them apart on paper. Zimbabwe will look to be organised, competitive, and to cause disruption on the counter. Whether they can repeat the resilience they have shown in previous meetings against the Eagles remains the central question on a Tuesday night at The Valley.

In Nigeria, the match is live on NTA Sports 24. In Zimbabwe, viewers can follow the action on ZBC TV. Fans across South Asia — including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka — can watch via FanCode.

Monday night at the Home Deluxe Arena brings the second leg of the Bundesliga promotion/relegation playoff, with everything still to play for after a goalless first leg in Wolfsburg last Thursday. SC Paderborn — who finished third in the 2. Bundesliga with 62 points from 34 matches — carry the advantage of hosting the decisive fixture, but the tie is entirely open. VfL Wolfsburg finished 16th in the Bundesliga on 29 points from 34 games, three points clear of relegated Heidenheim but unable to secure safety outright, and now face the prospect of dropping into the second tier for the first time in decades.

The stakes could not be more straightforward: win over two legs and either Paderborn earn promotion to the top flight, or Wolfsburg preserve their Bundesliga status. The first leg produced a tightly contested 0-0, with neither side able to land a decisive blow in front of Wolfsburg’s own supporters. That result leaves everything open for 90 minutes — or more — in Paderborn.

Paderborn ended their 2. Bundesliga season in mixed form. Their most recent outing before the first leg was a 0-2 away win at SV Darmstadt. Prior to that, a 2-2 home draw against Karlsruher SC. Before that, a heavy 5-1 away defeat at Elversberg — the club that pipped them to the automatic promotion places. Earlier in this run, a 2-3 home loss to Schalke. They arrive at this second leg having managed just one win in their last five competitive outings prior to the playoff, though the clean sheet in Wolfsburg will have provided encouragement.

Wolfsburg’s end-of-season form reflected a club that has been unable to rediscover any consistency. Their most recent league outing before the playoff was a 1-3 away win at St. Pauli. Prior to that, a 0-1 home defeat to Bayern Munich. Before that, a 1-1 draw away at Freiburg. Earlier in this run, a 0-0 home draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Three draws from four and a single win in their last five Bundesliga matches captures a Wolfsburg side that has struggled to score and struggled to impose themselves — a 29-point finish in 16th, with a goal difference of -24, underlines a deeply disappointing campaign.

The head-to-head record favours Wolfsburg, who have won two of the last five meetings without ever losing one, with three draws and no wins for Paderborn. Most recently, the sides drew 0-0 when Wolfsburg hosted the first leg of this playoff on May 21. The previous encounter, in February 2020, saw Wolfsburg win 4-2 at Paderborn’s ground.

Paderborn will draw confidence from the home advantage and the goalless aggregate score. Their supporters will create an atmosphere that adds to the pressure on a Wolfsburg side that has looked fragile in front of goal across recent weeks. For Wolfsburg, a clean sheet or a goal early in the second leg would fundamentally shift the dynamic of the tie.

In Germany, the match is live on Sat.1 and Sky Sport Bundesliga 1, with streaming available via Sky Go and WOW. In the United Kingdom and Ireland, the game is available on Amazon Prime Video. Viewers in the United States can watch on ESPN Select and fuboTV.

Sunday’s final-day fixture at the London Stadium is one of the most loaded matches of the Premier League weekend — not because of the neutrality of the visitors, but because West Ham United’s top-flight survival hangs by the thinnest of threads. The Hammers are 18th on 36 points, two below Tottenham in 17th, and they require a win combined with a Spurs defeat to climb out of the bottom three. Anything less — a draw, a defeat, or a win while Spurs avoid defeat at home — confirms relegation. The mathematics are unforgiving and there is no margin for error.

Leeds United, by contrast, arrive with their Premier League status long secured. They sit 14th on 47 points and cannot be caught by anyone below them. A win today would take them to 50, potentially lifting them as high as 11th if results fall kindly — Fulham, currently 13th on 49 with a goal difference of -6, would drop below Leeds’ GD of -4 if Leeds win and Fulham do not. There is positional pride at stake, but nothing existential.

West Ham’s recent form has been dire. Their most recent outing was a 3-1 defeat away at Newcastle. Prior to that, a 0-1 home loss to Arsenal. Before that, a heavy 3-0 defeat away at Brentford. Earlier in this run, a 2-1 home win over Everton offered a brief reprieve. The sequence opened with a goalless draw away at Crystal Palace. Three defeats on the bounce heading into a must-win match is not a platform that inspires confidence, and the goal difference of -22 — the second worst in the division — underlines a season of persistent defensive fragility.

Leeds have been more consistent without being spectacular. Their most recent outing was a 1-0 home win over Brighton. Prior to that, a 1-1 draw away at Tottenham. Before that, a 3-1 home win over Burnley. Earlier in this run, a 1-0 defeat away at Chelsea in the FA Cup. The sequence opened with a 2-2 draw away at Bournemouth. Two wins from five is a reasonable return, and the away point at Spurs in particular demonstrated a side capable of competing away from home.

The head-to-head record favours Leeds, who have won two of the last five meetings, with two draws and one win for West Ham. Most recently, the sides drew 2-2 when West Ham hosted Leeds in the FA Cup in April 2026. In the previous league encounter, Leeds won 2-1 at home in October 2025.

For West Ham, the emotional weight of a full London Stadium crowd desperate for survival could either drive the performance or paralyse it. Their squad has been inconsistent all season and the absentee list is not extensive, but they are without experienced goalkeeper Fabianski. Leeds arrive with genuine injury concerns of their own, losing Gruev and Struijk while carrying five players in various stages of doubt — if those doubts materialise on matchday, the visitors’ depth will be tested.

In the UK and Ireland, the match is live on Sky Sports Football. In the United States, viewers can watch on USA Network. The game is also available in Australia on Stan Sport and in the Netherlands on Viaplay.

Lineups & Injuries

West Ham United (4-2-3-1) Hermansen, Wan-Bissaka, Disasi, Fernandes, Diouf, Pablo, Castellanos, Bowen, Mavropanos, Soucek, Summerville

West Ham United: Fabianski (Out)

Leeds United (3-4-2-1) Darlow, Justin, Rodon, Bijol, Gnonto, Ampadu, Longstaff, James, Nmecha, Tanaka, Calvert-Lewin

Leeds United: Gruev (Out), Struijk (Out), Aaronson (Doubtful), Stach (Doubtful), Gudmundsson (Doubtful), Okafor (Doubtful), Bogle (Doubtful)

West Ham’s absentee list is minimal — losing Fabianski to injury is significant in terms of experience between the sticks, but Hermansen steps in as a capable replacement. Leeds are far more disrupted, with two confirmed outs and five players rated as doubtful across multiple positions. If even two or three of those doubts fail to make it, the visitors’ midfield depth and defensive shape will be noticeably weakened.

The final day of the Premier League season throws up a genuinely tense occasion at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, with the hosts facing a relegation threat that will make this a deeply uncomfortable afternoon for their supporters. Tottenham sit 17th on 38 points — just two points above West Ham in 18th — and they know that a defeat, combined with a West Ham win in their own final fixture, would send them down to the Championship. A point is all that is required to guarantee survival, but Spurs must earn it.

Everton arrive in north London with no such anxiety. They are 12th on 49 points and the relegation zone is a distant 13 points below them. Their motivation is purely positional — a win today takes them to 52 points, which would place them as high as 10th depending on results elsewhere, though their goal difference of -2 means they would remain below both Chelsea and Brentford on points. Neither European football nor the drop is at stake, but a side without a win in their last five will want to end the campaign on the right note.

Tottenham’s form over the past five matches has been an awkward blend. Their most recent outing ended in a 2-1 defeat away at Chelsea. Prior to that, they drew 1-1 at home to Leeds United. Before that, a 1-2 away win at Aston Villa. Earlier in this run, they won 1-0 away at Wolverhampton Wanderers. The sequence opened with a 2-2 home draw against Brighton. Two wins from five offers some encouragement, but the home draw with Leeds and the defeat in London will have done little to settle the nerves of a club staring at the possibility of relegation.

Everton’s recent form does not read much better and offers Spurs at least some cause for optimism. Their most recent outing was a 1-3 home defeat to Sunderland. Prior to that, a 2-2 draw away at Crystal Palace. Before that, a 3-3 home draw with Manchester City. Earlier in this run, a 2-1 defeat away at West Ham. The sequence opened with a 1-2 home loss to Liverpool. Three defeats in five, with no wins across this run, reflects a side that has been unable to string results together in the closing weeks of the season.

The head-to-head record favours Tottenham, who have won three of the last five meetings, with one draw and one win for Everton. Most recently, Spurs won 3-0 at Everton in October 2025. In the previous encounter, Everton won 3-2 at home in January 2025.

The absences will be significant for Spurs. Romero, Odobert, Davies, Kudus, Kulusevski and Simons are all ruled out — a brutal accumulation of missing quality that has clearly contributed to a difficult run-in. Everton lose Grealish, Branthwaite and Gueye, but the scale of Tottenham’s absentee list is the more damaging of the two. Whether the players available can hold their nerve in what amounts to a near-must-not-lose fixture will define how this afternoon unfolds.

In the UK and Ireland, the match is live on Sky Sports Main Event. In the United States, the game is available on NBC, Telemundo and Peacock. The match is also available in Australia on Stan Sport and in India on JioHotstar.

Lineups & Injuries

Tottenham Hotspur (4-2-3-1) Kinsky, Porro, Danso, Bissouma, Udogie, Ven, Bentancur, Gallagher, Tel, Richarlison, Muani

Tottenham Hotspur: Romero (Out), Odobert (Out), Davies (Out), Kudus (Out), Kulusevski (Out), Simons (Out)

Everton (4-2-3-1) Pickford, Mykolenko, Keane, Tarkowski, O’Brien, Iroegbunam, Garner, Röhl, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye, Beto

Everton: Grealish (Out), Branthwaite (Out), Gueye (Out)

Tottenham are severely depleted ahead of the most pressurised match of their season. Six absentees strip the squad of pace, creativity and experience across multiple positions, and the threadbare nature of the attacking options in particular will give hope to the claret and blue fans (West Ham). Everton’s losses are notable — Branthwaite especially at the back — but three absences against six tells its own story.
