Arsenal vs Leeds United

Competition – English Premier League

Stadium: Emirates Stadium

Date: 10th October 2026

Kick-off time – 12:30 GMT

Second meets fifth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday lunchtime, with both sides chasing ground near the top of the Premier League. Arsenal sit three points behind leaders Manchester City after taking 12 points from their first five games, but their most recent league outing was a 3-0 defeat away to Brighton, their first league loss of the season, and City’s own run of five straight wins leaves little margin for another slip. Leeds are one of only five sides still unbeaten in the division, fifth on nine points from two wins and three draws, and only Everton can match their record of three league goals conceded. The visitors’ record in this fixture is far less encouraging: they have lost all five meetings in the sample and scored only twice. A home win would keep Arsenal right on City’s heels heading into the next round of games, while a first win over Arsenal in this fixture would take Leeds level on points with the hosts and keep their unbeaten league run going.

Arsenal have won four of their last five, but the most recent result was a 3-0 defeat away to Brighton on 19 September, the only game in the sample in which they failed to score. Four days earlier they won 4-2 away at Ipswich in the EFL Cup, their highest-scoring game of the five. A 2-0 league win away at Sunderland came three days before that, and the Champions League league phase brought a 1-0 win away at Napoli on 9 September. The oldest result is a 2-1 home win over Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on 6 September, their only home game of the run. Across the five matches Arsenal scored nine and conceded six, with half of those goals against coming in the Brighton defeat, and both of their clean sheets came away from home.

Leeds are unbeaten in the four league games in this run, though their five matches in all competitions have produced one win, three draws and a defeat. The latest was a 0-0 home draw with Crystal Palace on 20 September, and six days earlier they beat Newcastle 4-1 at home, the widest winning margin in either side’s sample. Their one defeat came in the EFL Cup, a 6-3 loss away to Chelsea on 9 September, which accounts for six of the nine goals they conceded across the five games. Further back, Leeds drew 1-1 away at Brighton and 1-1 at home to Brentford. In the league games alone, they conceded just three times across those four matches, and they have scored in all but one of the five. The 4-1 win over Newcastle remains their only victory in the sample.

Arsenal have won every one of the last five meetings, with no draws and no Leeds wins, and the aggregate across the run stands at 16-2. The most recent was a 4-0 Arsenal win away at Leeds in January 2026, and the meeting before that was a 5-0 home win at the Emirates Stadium in August 2025. Both of Leeds’ goals in the sample came on visits to Arsenal, in a 4-1 defeat in April 2023 and a 2-1 defeat in May 2022, and they failed to score in the other three. Arsenal’s three home wins in the run add up to 11 goals scored and two conceded, so Leeds lost every visit to the Emirates Stadium in the sample.

Arsenal are second on 12 points, three behind leaders Manchester City, while Leeds sit fifth on nine. A win would take Arsenal to 15 points, level with City, who hold the better goal difference as things stand.
