Deportivo vs Levante

Competition – La Liga

Stadium: Riazor

Date: 16th October 2026

Kick-off time – 20:00 GMT

Neither side has had much to celebrate lately as Deportivo La Coruña host Levante at the Riazor on Friday night. Deportivo are winless in five across all competitions, with two draws and three defeats, but they still sit eighth in La Liga on 10 points after eight games. Levante are 17th on six points from seven, having drawn 3-3 at home with Sevilla on Monday, and they have not won in four since a 5-2 home win over Betis on 29 August. Deportivo lost 3-2 away at Real Sociedad on Sunday. Both clubs will be looking to end a poor run. Kick-off in A Coruña is at 8pm UK time.

Deportivo La Coruña’s last five read D2 L3, with six goals scored and ten conceded. The latest result was Sunday’s 3-2 defeat away at Real Sociedad in La Liga, a game in which they scored twice but conceded three. Before that, FC Porto won 3-1 against Deportivo in a friendly on 2 October. Further back, Deportivo drew 2-2 away at Penafiel in a friendly on 25 September, drew 1-1 at home with Betis in La Liga on 20 September, and lost 1-0 at home to Sevilla on 16 September. In the two La Liga games in the run with Deportivo at home, at the Riazor, they took one point from a possible six. They have conceded in all five games.

Levante’s last five read W1 D2 L2, with 11 goals scored and 12 conceded. Monday’s 3-3 home draw with Sevilla in La Liga is the latest, and it stretched the winless run to four. Before that, Villarreal won 3-1 against Levante on 20 September, and Barcelona won 4-2 at Levante on 13 September. A goalless draw away at Malaga on 6 September and the 5-2 home win over Betis on 29 August make up the rest, and that Betis game is the only win in the run and the highest-scoring result of the five. Levante scored in four of the five games but conceded in four as well, shipping 10 across the last four matches.

Levante hold a slight edge across the five most recent meetings listed, with two wins to Deportivo’s one and two draws. The latest was a 2-1 Levante win on 25 January 2025 in La Liga 2, and before that, Levante won 2-1 at home on 24 October 2024. Both of those were second-tier games, and the two before them were 2-2 draws in the top flight, on 27 January 2018 and 26 August 2017. Deportivo’s only win in the sample is a 2-1 home win on 19 March 2016, so the record at the Riazor reads one win, one draw and one defeat for them.

Deportivo are eighth in the La Liga standings on 10 points, with Levante 17th on six points from seven games. A win would take Levante to nine points, which would lift them to ninth in the current table.
